Solum Resigns From Lexington GOP to Fight Establishment Talbert Black, May 8, 2012May 8, 2012 Summer Solum announced her resignation as 1st Vice Chair of the Lexington GOP on Monday May 7th. I am resigning my position as 1st Vice Chair of the Lexington GOP, effective immediately, because I am angry and disgusted with the political maneuvering that has surrounded the recent SC Supreme Court decision concerning candidate eligibility. I have decided to turn that anger into something positive. I feel that my efforts will be best spent helping elect individuals who will fight to protect me & my family from the underhanded good ‘ole boy system that is currently rampant on a local and state level. I intend to put my full support behind Wes Howard and Cory Norris for county council in hopes that there will be some positive changes in this county.
