PALMETTO LIBERTY PAC ENDORSES CHRIS SULLIVAN IN REPUBLICAN RUNOFF FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 17
GREENVILLE, SC – Today, Talbert Black Jr., founder of Palmetto Liberty PAC, announced the group’s endorsement of Chris Sullivan for State House District 17.
“The voters of District 17 deserve a representative who fundamentally understands the importance of limited government, free markets, and who will defend conservative values in Columbia, never backing down when the pressure is on. They also deserve a representative who engages in specifics, not vague platitudes. Chris Sullivan’s principled support for constitutional spending caps, zero-based budgeting and the return of excess revenue to taxpayers makes it clear that he will be that representative,” stated Black.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Palmetto Liberty,” Sullivan declared. “I plan to fight government overreach at every turn, be it from Barack Obama’s White House or bureaucrats in Columbia. We need leaders who will offer a stalwart defense of those rights of life and liberty that are under constant assault, and I pledge to be that leader if elected.”
Palmetto Liberty PAC supports candidates who will fight for limited constitutional government, free market economics, and individual liberty and responsibility.
Black added, “Both candidates in this race had local Republican legislators endorse them recently after the January 22 primary. We noted something very telling after looking at our legislative score card ratings. The combined average rating of the legislators who endorsed Chris Sullivan was 14% higher than that of the average rating of the legislators who have endorsed his opponent. We believe this speaks loudly to the company each would keep were they to find themselves in Columbia.”
Sullivan is matched against Mike Burns in a runoff to take place on February 5th.
Chris Sullivan, a lifelong resident of Greenville County, attended Furman University and is a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
